Another awesome day...

Today was the last day of the Village Pastors Conference. Neil taught on "Leading by Service" and "Leading by Grace" and Jesse taught on "Leading by the Ordnances of the Church". After the teachings, we all had Communion together. The village pastors here are very mature in their faith; they have been taught well by the veteran missionary pastor Jesse (& Beverly) Rich.

Pastor Samuel, from Gulu, received a Bible for himself and another Bible for his adopted son Samson who wants to be a pastor some day (the Bibles were donated by our dear friends in the States). Samuel's two year old son, Promise, was held by Deanna when just a new born baby during our last visit there. We were able to send two wooden cars for Promise back with his dad (these wooden cars are crafted by a dear friend's father). Our team from two years ago helped to construct the framework and roof for the church there in Gulu. The church in Gulu is growing and they are still making the bricks needed for the walls.

Deanna was stoked because of her wild and crazy Boda-Boda (motorcycle) rides today. On one trip up a very deep pot-holed rocky hill, the driver said "Madam, don't fall off". Boda-Boda rides put a big smile on my face. I love it!
