This morning I rose early to have some "quiet time" during the cool of the morning. After walking around the property, I took a few moments to sit quietly on one of the benches in front of the church to pray. Enter the cat. Ryan's cat Mojo came over to me, and though I am not a cat person, i gently scooped him up. He enjoyed a few moments of gentle caressing on my lap. And then came the bite, the scratch, and the quick getaway. Quiet time was officially over.
After breakfast we went to Remand Prison to minister to the men there. James preached and Sandy gave his Tembrel presentation. Six men took a stand for Christ in spite of the pressure from their fellow prisioners. Please pray for these men that they will continue to grow in Christ and to be steadfast in their faith.

We will pray for those who are coming under pressure from their fellow parishioners. A good scripture to remember:
ReplyDeleteAnd do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to anyone who should ask you to give an account of the hope that is within you, yet with gentleness and reverence. 1 Peter 3:14-15
Keep looking up, Jim.
